  • Two years old July second.

And we have missed so much.

    The simple things

    like

    kisses good night,

    morning smiles,

    and playing babies.

Her other grandma will bring her to Virginia for her birthday. We will be there for several days. It isn't the same, though, when someone is looking over your shoulder constantly, demanding that things be done their way or no way, never allowing you to take her out of their sight.

No. It isn't the same, but it will do. For now.

  • But think of all the other things you will get to share, first day of school, first bicycle, first boyfriend...

  • She is such a little cutie!  As Nevragen says, you will have the future...

  • What a beautiful picture. She is so precious. I am happy you will get to spend time with her.

  • Hopefully that will soon change.........

  • That must be very hard. I hope that will change one day.

    She is just beautiful.

  • What a sweet baby!  How happy you must be to have her in your life ... and how you must look forward to a future of hugs and kisses, goodnight stories, making cookies, having her style your hair ... hang in there, my friend.

  • She's beautiful! Is she close to her other Grandma? How long, and it always seems to take infinitely longer with the slow moving legal system, before her Papa can begin to father full-time? How precious her birthday is, and how you'll adore, love, savour her, these moments together...

  • for the time being you must surely be the special grandma, the one who never tells her off, and always gives her treats.  you may not be able to see her often but you treasure the moments that you all spend together, and you love her, and that is what she'll remember, whatever happens next.  :hearts:

  • That is the most precious picture.  What a beautiful little girl.  Hardly room for her with all her friends there sharing her bed:banana::banana:

  • WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE IS 2 ALREADY....

  • A new blog has come to life. Read more about Destiny, here. :heartbeat:

  • Do you remember anything about your first two years of life?  I don't.  Let's hope she won't either.  By the time she is old enough to remember, hopefully she will be in a better space ... with her loving father and his family.  :heartbeat:

  • i think it's wonderful that he wants to be a part of her life... my own father didn't (and still doesn't) want to be a part of mine. and it's like pulling teeth to get my ex to be a part of his daughters' lives... so whatever chances he gets are good ones... so i'm glad you and he are taking every chance you get! it will all be worth it in the end, i promise!!!:hearts:
