The 11th month
must be like
the 11th hour.
Robert was just saying that it is the hardest month.
And this morning, when he got to work, he found that the restaurant was closed
and locked
forever.
Now everyone, from the manager to the waitstaff, is out of a job. Poof. Just like that. Happy friggin' holidays............

OMG How horrible, for the whole staff. At least he now has some good experience under his belt, hopefully he'll be able to find something quickly.

Jimminey Freaking Christmas! The LEAST they could have done is given the employees enough warning so they didn't have to get out of bed the next morning! Apparently even that is asking too much!

I am so sorry to hear this. My husband and his four co-workers were told a month ago that they all had job security for at least the next three years. Last week, the oldest one of the group was told AT THE END OF THE DAY that this was it, they were letting him go as of NOW. They gave him less than an hour to pack up his things. We're still reeling. And he is so worried that he won't find something else...he just turned 60.
But I am thinking of all that Robert has endured already, and all he has learned, and how he has grown and matured. He is going to come through this, too, and there is something better out there waiting for him.
