why discriminate
Current mood:
confused
Category: Life
well the last few days i have been trying to get my girlfriends parents to stop focusing on my past as much as my future. yes , i made some mistakes in my life ,but who hasn't. nobody is perfect. and i am not a bad person. i have moved away from my troubles and also dealt with them. i did not run away. i handled them then moved away so i wouldn't have to deal with them as much, but it's hard when everywhere i go i'm discriminated against because i've been to prison. well im not gonna dwell on the past, so i hope that those who only dislike me for that can look past it because im a wonderful kid. you just have to take a chance and see it. well til next time readers, take care, and please dont judge a book by its cover.
Wonderful advice, huh?

It should help him to write some of it out.
I think it will show other people how to become better people - if they see him working his way past his problems - They may not dig a hole of their own or - They may start to climb out of any holes they may have already dug i think he can be a great Role model to others - When he gets back to normal life - is working - and can say 'hey - I messed up - I learned - Look at me now'
it's hard to be in a place where everyone judges you by your past behavior and i'm sure he'll run into a lot of it for a while until he "proves" himself. but i know he'll prove them wrong as he learns that he is more than his past and that his future is bright.
day by day..action by action....
they will believe...
he is on his way
so happy for you all:)
My nephew has experienced this too.
Wonderful post!! I was just thinking about you this morning and wondering how your doing!
And yet we all do it at some point. It's a good reminder. Don't judge by the externals.
