Robert and Destiny Siting

Destiny graduated from preschool.

Then the whole family met at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, for a weekend of celebration and fun. Thought there might still be a few of you out there who wonder how they are doing.

I think of many of you often.

Robert at play

Robert and his family helped me celebrate my birthday last week. We had a blast. I am posting just a few pictures so you can see how he continues to change and grow into an amazing man.

The End

"Mom?" Robert yelled as he ran up the stairs to where I was sitting. "I just left the probation officer's office, and guess what?"

"What, son?"

"It's over," he said, barely able now to contain his excitement. "I am a free man. 100% free. No more probation visits, no more peeing in a cup once a month, and no more 30 dollars a month for probation fees. Free!"

Pinch me. I want to make sure that this isn't a dream. My s on, who has had some connection to the courts since he was about 14, is totally, completely, free. And I am crying, again. Only this time, the tears are cleansing in a much better way than ever before.

My son is free to enjoy his wonderful family without looking over his shoulder at every turn, and we can all breathe in a way that we haven't in many, many, many years.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Robert Foltz

It has been a very busy couple of weeks, and we are all so very tired, but it was all worth it for the moments shown in the pictures below. Look at how happy Robert and Keri look, and how beautiful. And Destiny. Just amazing.

The Big Day 064

This is the moment that Keri's father gave her away.

The Big Day 149

Robert cried when he said his vows. Destiny cried when her daddy cried. It was one of the most touching moments of the whole day. This is the two of them getting ready to go down to have pictures taken.

The Big Day 167

You can dress them up, but you can't make them behave. The best man (who is also my younger son) jumped into his brother's arms while the photographer was taken pictures. The groomsmen thought it was hilarious. So did I.

The Big Day 132

The bride and Destiny, sharing a moment between poses.

The Big Day 098

The bridal party plus parents.

The Big Day 114

Destiny was so wonderful throughout the day. She laughed, kissed, hugged, and danced her way into everyone's heart.

 The Big Day 236

The first piece of cake. He said that it was "bangin'."

The Big Day 255

And the first dance. She is looking at the photographer; he was looking at her. Perfect.

I have a million photos, and I am happy to share, but it takes too long to upload all of them. If you want more, shoot me an email at bird_t1@bellsouth.net, and I will invite you to view them on my kodak site. It was one of the best days of my life. I cried a lot; I laughed a lot.

My heart is overflowing.
