  • Somedays I don't think he's ready .........

Or maybe he really doesn't want it as much as he proclaims.

    His thoughtlessness ...........

    His inability to save ..................

    His childlike manner ....................

    All

    Scream at me sometimes

    And yet

    And yet

    I have to believe.

  • Does anyone here live in NY?

Why do things have to be so complicated?

Robert VOLUNTARILY completed a paternity test through a court approved company. The results indicated that Destiny is his (without a doubt). He filed papers to begin custody proceedings.

Saturday, he received a letter saying that he had not filed the court papers that requested the paternity (there aren't any), nor had he filed the relinquishing of rights to a paternity test papers.

Hello, there aren't any. HE HAD THE TEST DONE, and the results were included in the paperwork.

According to his lawyer, he now has to file a new petition requesting paternity acknowledgement. Then he can file for custody.

    Anyone have Advil?

    But.

    I had to share.

    Laughter.

    A too rare commodity.

    Here.

    In a pucker.

    And.

A pair of inflatable baseball bats.

  • The Weekend

Robert hasn't been to a theme park in years (and the rest of us LOVE them), sooooooooooooooo ...

Today, at 1:00 P.M., we will leave work early, pack the bags, the children, and the childrens' friends, into two cars and head for an  evening of dinner and fun on the beach in Virginia Beach, VA.

Tomorrow, at 9:00 A.M., we will conduct morning rituals, pack a lunch, and pile into the car that will be pointed in the direction of Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA.

Tomorrow, at 10:00 AM, we will pull into line with all of the other excited theme park goers, take in the sites and the sounds of a beautiful day, and return to the hotel exhausted.

Sunday, at 11:00 A.M., we will pack our bags, our children, and our childrens' friends, and we will travel the 150 miles back to our home - relaxed, rejuvenated, revived.

May your weekend hold the same promise.

  • Today is my birthday.

    What do I want?

Just what I have: A home filled with children's laughter and endless antics and my soul mate to share it with.

What will I wish for when I blow out the candles?

Just what I wished for before I went to sleep last night: My son's daughter safe in his arms and all of his family safe and healthy so that they can help them learn together.

  • Prison Trivia:

When a prison goes into "lockdown" status no one leaves their cell except to take a shower -- every three days.

Food is served through slots in the doors.

The water is cut off except for once an hour on the hour for 2 minutes. Inmates stand next to the sink/toilet to make sure that they can wash their face, brush their teeth, and flush their toilet.

The more I learn, the more I fear that this is a nightmare that my son will carry forever.

  • This too shall pass

Sometimes, when you think things are falling apart, they are really getting better.

Sometimes, when you are at your lowest, it is because you are about to soar.

    Robert learned this recently.

He felt beaten and discouraged when his girlfriend's parents took away her truck and made her move home in an attempt to keep them apart, but he complied and stopped seeing her.

They were both numb for a few days, but they moved on as young people tend to do.

And then, a few days ago, Natalie walked into his life.

    His whole demeanor has changed.

"She is fly. Wait till you meet her. I am really feelin' this one," he said when he told us the news. And then, after their first date and grinning ear-to-ear, "She is my dream girl, mom. She's hot."

They have been inseparable since the moment they met. He has it BAD folks. I mean BAD. He even watched The Phantom of the Opera with her last night. lol

The best part? She seems "real" to me. And, she has a sister who served time in prison, so her parents aren't "afraid" of that. And, she is a nanny. Yes. A nanny.
